Psychological Assessments

At Strive Ahead, we take a holistic approach to working with our clients. We understand that a range of factors contribute to functioning, ability, mental health, and well-being. Our range of psychological assessments can involve interviews (with clients, parents/caregivers, teachers), formal assessment/s and observation, extensive review of data, producing a report outlining findings and recommendations, and a feedback session. 

We are currently in the process of sourcing new and updated assessment materials and will be operational with our full suite of assessments soon. 

Our cognitive assessments are available for ages 2.5 years plus. 

Cognitive assessments can highlight areas of strength and weakness in a range of domains of ability, functioning, general intelligence, and memory. 

Assessment involves interviews, conduct of psychological assessment/s, review of data, written report with feedback and recommendations, and a session to review the results.

Our ADHD assessment involves interviews, conduct of psychological assessment/s, review of data, written report with feedback and recommendations, and a feedback session. We may be able to provide ongoing therapy support for ADHD if requested.  

Vocational assessments for ages 16 years plus.

Vocational assessment generally involves an interview, written or computer-based assessments, review of data, a report with recommendations, and a feedback session to discuss results.

General assessment and diagnosis often occur as part of an initial consultation when conducting individual therapy. This informs treatment and can aid clients in understanding more about themselves. 

Diagnosis of certain conditions may also assist in gaining additional support from external agencies, or for educational support purposes.
